BANKRATE.COM - Lists credit cards with APR comparisons from lowest to highest and other useful consumer credit information.
Better Business Bureau
- Aims to promote ethical business, including BBB Code of Advertising, Standards for Charitable Solicitations and other booklets. Provides searchable directory of BBB's in U.S. and Canada with links to them. (Reports on local businesses must be ordered directly from local BBB's.) Provides BBB's Philanthropic Advisory Service, which provides detailed reports on programs, fundraising practices and finances of nonprofit organizations and charities and even handles complaints.

CorpTech Directory of Technology Companies - Provides descriptive information on over 40,000 U.S. high technology companies, including many small, privately-owned computer software and hardware firms, and many biotechnology firms. Also provides Company's internet address and links to stock prices and charts, SEC files and news headlines.
Dunn and Bradstreet - Offers extremely limited free information - requires credit-card paid subscriptions.
EDGAR Database of Corporate Information
  - Corporate information filed by companies with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Fortune Magazine

Moody's Investors Service - Provides independent credit ratings, research and financial information.
Standard and Poors
- Information, insight and analysis about equities, stocks, foreign exchange and commodities.
Thomas Register of American Manufacturers
- Search more than 155,000 companies classified under more than 55,000 product and service headings listed in the Thomas Register. Includes more than 2,300 online supplier catalogs with 40,000 pages of detailed buying and specifying information.
